PCRM Update + MCP Released

MCP is live for PCRM users!

As we mentioned in our last blog post, we’ve been preparing to release an MCP (model context protocol) server for PCR. This allows your AI agent, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to talk with the PCR API for everything from custom dashboards to custom integrations.

That MCP is now available to anyone on our PCRM⬢MCP account tier! This package gives you access to:

• PCRM – our user-friendly, modern experience
• The MCP – your AI tool’s connection to your recruiting database
• AI Candidate Match – the AI search that helps identify resumes that match your job description
• PCR9 – our legacy web interface

August 2026 Changes to PCRM

We made dozens of improvements to PCRM this month, rebuilding the key areas of the software for speed, efficiency, and clarity. You can read the complete change log in the Learning Center, or check out the summary below.

Side-By-Side Record/List Views

• Split-Screen Navigation: Records now open in a right-hand panel, keeping your search results and scroll position visible.
• Quick Traversal: Use up/down arrows in the ‘quick search’ results to move to the next/previous record in your list without closing it.
• Docking Record View: Choose to dock or float the currently viewed name, company, or job for better use of screen space
• Saved Preferences: Adjust the panel width by dragging; PCRecruiter remembers your width and dock/float preferences.
• Tabbed Navigation: Record details (Overview, Pipeline, activities, etc.) are now organized into tabs.
• Mobile-Friendly: Records automatically open full-width on screens smaller than 1,000 pixels.

Record Overview & Cards

• Card-Based Layouts: The Overview tab is rebuilt using customizable cards specific to the record type (Candidates, Companies, Positions, Rollups). Recently Viewed and Recently Modified sections also match the updated visual style.
• Customization: Click the Customize layout icon to hide, reorder, or stretch cards to full-width. Changes save automatically.
• Persistent Layouts: Your customized layouts are tied to your PCRecruiter account and follow you across devices.
• Admin Sharing: Administrators can use Copy layout to users to deploy standardized views to team members.
• Revert Changes: Undo and reset options are available to return to standard layouts.

Faster ‘Add’ Records

• Dedicated Screens: The standard “Add Record” window has been replaced with optimized, individual screens for Names, Companies, Positions, and Rollups.
• Bulk Resume Processing: Drag and drop up to 50 files into Add Name to create multiple records at once with side-by-side resume viewing.
• Pre-Save Duplicate Detection: Potential duplicate records are flagged on the card with side-by-side field comparisons before saving.
• Clipboard Parsing: Use Parse from Clipboard to instantly fill fields using copied text like email signatures or profiles.
• Streamlined Forms: Write job descriptions in a formatted side-panel HTML editor, upload and crop company logos directly on the form, and build Rollups with attachments in one pass.
• Auto-Open: Newly created records open immediately in the right-hand panel and can be pinned for easy post-import review.
• Bulk Import: Importing spreadsheets is now a dedicated menu option with a visible progress bar.
• EEO Grouping: EEO questions are neatly grouped together on the Add Name form.

Cleaner Screens

• Optimized List Views: Result cards smartly display path-relevant information depending on the context.
• Better Scrolling: Table views have been rebuilt to handle thousands of results more smoothly.
• Tidier Navigation: The left-hand menu has been cleaned up and reorganized.
• Isolated Settings: Personal settings (Change Password, User Preferences, View Background Tasks, Two-Factor Authentication) now open in individual screens instead of a single complicated panel.

This is just the beginning! We will be releasing new changes more frequently and communicating with you more regularly.
